What we collect

When you register a business on BusinessOwners.lk, we collect the details you enter in the registration form: business name, owner name, business category, district and city, phone and WhatsApp numbers, email address, a description of your business, and any optional details you choose to add (website, social media pages, business registration number, logo, years in business and team size).

How we use it

Your details are used to create and display your business listing in the BusinessOwners.lk directory, to contact you about your registration (welcome and approval emails), and to keep the registry clean and genuine. We review every registration before it is listed.

What we never do

We never sell your personal data. We do not share your details with third parties for marketing. We do not run third-party advertising or tracking scripts on this site.

Storage and security

Your details are stored securely in a database in our hosting environment, protected by access controls. Connections to this site are encrypted with HTTPS.

Your rights

In line with Sri Lanka's Personal Data Protection Act, No. 9 of 2022, you can ask us at any time to view, correct or delete the details we hold about you or your business. Email info@businessowners.lk and we will act on your request promptly.
